Your words are the true focus here. Accept yourself, trust yourself, have faith in yourself. If these words are true, as if they were on a table and a study group was analyzing them, then you are right. If there is ego contributing to your trust and faith, then you are wrong.

As we introduce our words to the whole of society, how do we say it? How many can say the words and have the study group agree they are truth? 5%?

Once you know yourself, the 'ego' is no longer present but I suppose it depends on your definition of 'ego'. An actual 'ego' does not exist. It is a concept used to identify out true characteristics which are not in conscious awareness. It is not separate from the person as an actual entity. It's used as a tool for self identity but rarely does one see the ego in oneself. It's always in another. That is real ego at work, projecting itself onto others. The only truth I am 100% sure of is who I am. Each student has the ability to know this truth also, in and of themselves.

I will just say one thing, you will not know god until you know yourself, accept yourself (ego and all) trust yourself and have faith in yourself. This results in just being. These are the attributes that I believe is the spirit of god.

My belief system leaves me with more questions than answers. Most belief systems teach that God made the physical universe and then seek to reconcile a perfect God with all of this. I study ACIM which is one of the few that teach God has nothing to do with this place, and so God remains perfect.

Ah, I understand. No wonder you are all over the place. I was too. I studied everything I could get my hands on which only serves to add more to the confusion. I prefer to draw my own conclusions and if I am not led to do so, I will not follow.

Yes, I think that in order to find truth, you must look deep, deep down into yourself, and see what you truly, unquestionable believe... not what you "want" to believe, not what you think other people will agree with... but deep down. What is inside you and true to you... this is where i think you will find your bliss.

I don't think it is so much finding 'the' truth as it is finding 'the truth of you'. I believe this truth is reflected everywhere in our relationships with everything. Inside and out. I believe this is true of us and of god and in realizing this truth evolution can occur. Is god evolving too? Forever changing. Yes I think so.

Well, if God is evolving then God is not perfect. A perfect being has no need to evolve. If God is always changing then God is inconsistent and uncertain. If there is no one absolute truth but many different kinds of truths depending on perspective then the truth means nothing. It changes from person to person from place to place. That's basically what we're left with as soon as we try to reconcile God with the universe.

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Boom, right there we get the monster the Bible calls God. I guess this is enough to satisfy most theists, but I've never been happy with it. To me God remains perfect. I just don't get why God remains so difficult to know.

I sometimes look to my parents to see God. They say we can see God in the people we interact with. Sometimes it's hard to do, but sometimes I think I catch a glimpse. I agree that knowing our true self is fundamental to our Spirituality, but again easier said than done. I find that I spend most of my time separating the wheat from the chaff. The chaff is pretty ugly. I don't think that by rejecting ego I reject myself because I don't consider my true self to be ego, but rather the part that tells me to choose otherwise.

Anyway, I hope I haven't offended egos or discouraged anybody from posting their questions/answers here. I do respect all belief systems that do no harm on the basis that I really don't know what the truth is. Obviously there are those who disagree with me and that's fine to.
