Questions for God

"soffty" I think we are overanalyzing God. The act of knowing there is God is enough.

In our history aliens have come down to influence our future. There is no reason to think they are not doing more for us than our worship of God.

We have to build a country to protect our families and way of life. As long as we have a system in place that allows us to share our goals then we have something to be proud of. Our goals should be to embrace a knowledge of God, stay committed to our country, and maintain a system that identifies ego.

If we let our egos control what we do, because we do not recognize ego, then we cannot do any of our necessary jobs. We are generally focusing on money or some other ego inflating item.

Our happiness is what we are considering here...I think. If we realize that we have control over happiness once we have control over ego then we are complete.

What makes it so hard is our peers. So, maybe we should narrow our pursuits to setting an example for others and finding a way to communicate the simple tasks.

Just getting through to one person a day is a noble task, in my opinion. We have a soul that will continue, so happiness today is of limited importance. To enjoy a moment with a loved one is plenty to keep us going for a long time.

Are you having a laugh Wade, our country, our families, our way of life, this is the WORLD WIDE WEB your posting on, and it's a big bad world with billions of different 'OUR's', That's what happens when one leaves the oneness of love (the feeling that is god) one becomes two and continues to multiply into them and us, From a spiritual point of view (eternal) this world is as important or real as an episode of the Simpson's. there is only my world that you can change and that change take's place within you.
about 6/7 year's ago I used to meditate with the image of holding the world in my heart, I did this for long periods and for years thinking it was my job! or the right thing to do, until one day while doing this I heard loud and clear 'let it go' my instant reaction was a bit of a shock that lasted all of about 10 seconds, since then I accept this world as it was, is, and will be, and I focus my time and energy onto the only thing I have control over ME, and with all the drama's going on in this crazy world it's a full time job.

There is the reality of the opposites, chaos, fear and darkness. Is god not the source of those also?

There are as many realities as one want's it's all about free will and choice. The power to create what you will is an integral component of life and as part of that life with creative abilities we have created chaos, fear, and darkness etc, which are just light of a different colour !. we/I get the light pure and colour or cloud it with our own creation/s, your electricity provider is not responsible for what you do with the power it provides you. one can always choose again the reality of oneness over the reality of opposites.

I don't believe that the idea of a personal God is one of specialness or the ego. I agree though that it doesn't sit well with the ego which is all the more reason to practice it because the ego is all about specialness. I see love as being maximal in all of us. Realizing it is a matter of removing the blocks to the awareness of love's presence.

Blocks include belief systems

I think the simple answer to this is that there is no such thing as God in the Anthropomorphized since, making God into a "Man" that "Lives" "In" "The Heavens". This may be someone elses understanding of God, and as someone elses it is subject to always being distant from you, the same way that every other God man has created over the Millennia eludes us.

If you understand God as the infinite experience of infinite dimensionality, and all of the energy it contains, then "God" is right there in front of you, inside you, "God", "Created" "You".

The reality of it is that we are all part of this Unified field, and as a metaphor, "You are a drop of water in an ocean, but is all the ocean is, is drops of water"

The thing that eludes us I think is when other people Anthropomorphize "God" , and then you cannot find that literary version.

Check this out and see if it resonates - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthropomorphism

Paul, I do not take this life too seriously as I consider what happens after I die. But I still care about this life and want to help others understand. I do believe we can improve our world indirectly. Here in America, just helping to get rid of organized crime could help most of the world too.

If we maintain a system of identifying ego then we are more capable of improving ourselves, as i believe ego is our number one problem.

I see nothing wrong with setting a standard that may allow future generations to have goals that help to improve the definition of mankind. I see it as giving verses taking.

Maybe I am being too simple but I can live with that.

He's not in the physical universe.
