O, no , you're more than welcome here... I just wasn't sure what you meant by the term ; because I think everyone has a different understanding of what "the truth" IS (as in the details of it) , but even some people I think don't use the word "truth" to mean the same thing... like, by saying " the truth " , they could be referring to their beliefs. Instead of sometime has ego removed form it, and exists outside of our egos.
But this brings up a topic which is I think related to the original post, which is that mis-communication, and our lack of understanding one another, is a source of suffering.
For instance, I think that hate and fear are one of the greatest causes of personal suffering. Firstly, to the one that is doing the hating a fearing; and secondly to the the ones that are hated and feared - and if we all where one the same page, and understood where each other was coming from, then it would end a lot of suffering.
The page that I am talking about is my own version of "the truth" , which is:
1. That we are all part of the same life force, what hurts one of us hurts all of us.
2. By loving others we grown to love ourselves.
3. Selflessness and charity aid in our spiritual growth.
4. Enlightenment is a state which can be achieved, and is complete awareness of the moment.
5. Giving forgiveness helps you receive forgiveness.
6. Honest and integrity help us to keep the lessons we have learned.
7. It is OK to have nice things, as long as you put kindness and charity first.
So, by not judging someone, and understanding where they are coming from, you can remove suffering in yourself, and in them...
But anyway, I think that the phenomena of empathy is what can lead to suffering, which is why we all suffer when the world does, and we all heal when we heal the world.
